GTA 6: If you read my article from last year, then you will know that I listed GTA 6 as one of the most anticipated games coming out last year. Well, after many delays, it’s coming out this year. If you do not know what the GTA franchise is, it’s a series where you run around in an open world map, completing missions and committing crimes. The cities in every game are almost like their counterparts. If you are interested in playing online, you can work with players or sabotage them. It’s not all missions and crime: you can cause mass chaos and destruction or just be as gentle as a giant; it’s all up to you. You are free to make any choices you want, and there are little to no restrictions on what you can do. Many people are still saying this will be the greatest video game of all time, so if you are interested, buy yourself a copy and pray that another delay does not happen.
Release date: 11/19 Availability: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Pc on a later date Cost: $70
Wolverine: This game centers around Marvel’s character Wolverine, if you could not tell by the title. It’s about Logan (Wolverine) trying to find the truth about his dark past that he has forgotten. The game is made by the same creator of the popular Spiderman and Miles Morales games, so you can expect the same quality and style, but instead of flowing acrobatic combat, it will be more brutal, with Wolverine mainly using his claws to slash at his opponents. The game will be an open world with many side missions available to players. So, if you love Marvel, the Spiderman games, or anything superhero, I recommend this game to you.
Release date: 2026 Availability: PS5 and PC on a later date Cost: $70
Tomodachi Life Living the Dream: If you had a 3DS or a 2DS, you most likely have played or seen the game Tomodachi Life. Tomodachi Life is a game where you create Miis/Characters and place them onto an island where you can watch them live their lives. They will have problems and ask for your help solving them. What makes this game so unique and charming from other life simulators is the humor and randomness. Miis over exaggerate everything. Their dreams feel like SNL sketches on a sugar rush. I would try to describe the dreams better, but its so hard to put into words what they are about. Every item in the game is just pixelated PNGs of food, which makes every interaction with an item hilarious. Back to the Miis: you can design them however you like. For example, you can make them super short and give them the lowest voice known to mankind, or give a high-pitch voice to a super wide Mii. Another example is if two Miis fight over another character they like. If that character chooses neither of them, both of the suiters become depressed. Many of the skits make this game fun, but it’s the calming moments too, like you can see just two Miis sitting together chilling. If you love life the Sims or just want to relax and laugh, this is the game for you.
