It was a busy season for the St. Paul’s Fine Arts Department. Below is a quick rundown of just how busy — and successful — the 2024-2025 schoolyear was.
Visual Arts:
1. Congressional Art Winner
Artist’s work hangs in the Capitol building in Washington D.C.
2. United States Sports Academy Sports Art Competition
Six students made top 25; 4 placed Best in Show
3. 68 Ventures
One student placed
4. Alabama Independent School Association Visual Arts Competition
Thirteen 13 pieces won Regional; Two won first place at State
5. Alabama State Council on the Arts Annual Visual Arts and Achievement Program
Four Regional placings; One first place at State
6. National Art Education Association Conference
One exhibition presented
7. Alabama Art Educator’s Association
Fifty students represented during two separate district exhibitions
8. Scholastic Regional at Large
Two Silver Key winners; One Gold Key winner
9. Outdoor Alabama Magazine Statewide Competition
One student honorable mention; One faculty first place winner
Performing Arts:
1. Chamber Choir (State and Regional competitions)
Straight Superior and Superior ranking; All-State Chamber Choir
2. Chamber Strings (State and Regional competitions)
All-State Alabama Orchestra Festival; Regional Alabama Orchestra Festival
3. Concert Band (State and District competitions)
All-State District Honor Band; District Honor Band
