Many people have been discussing for years if a fake or real Christmas tree is better. I am going to give the pros and cons of both sides, and you can decide for yourself which one is better.
- Real Christmas tree pros:
One of the pros of having a real Christmas tree is the permanent Christmas smell in the air. The sweet smell can help you relax and you will not have to spend lots of money on candles. It’s also a tradition to go out with your family and to select your tree. This can be a fun activity for your family to do together. You are able to remove any needles/branches that you want so you can make your Christmas tree perfect.
- Real Christmas tree cons:
Sadly, one of the bad things about having a real Christmas tree is the shedding. It can be a pain to clean up, and you will always find little needles from the trees all around the house even during the summer. It’s also hard to find a tree that would both fit in your house and be able to hold all your ornaments. The ornaments will either be to heavy or the branch will not be strong enough to hold ornaments and will fall off a break. The tree needles can get into your furniture, and you will have to play Tetris in the room to avoid this. It also can take a bit of skill to drive with the Christmas tree on top of your car and you do not want a Christmas Vacation incident.
- Fake Christmas tree pros:
Fake Christmas trees have many pros; like, if you have a fake Christmas tree, you will not have to spend tons of money on new Christmas trees every year, and you can just pull it out of your garage. You will not have to worry or stress about trying to find the perfect tree to fit in your house that will be able to hold your ornaments. Most fake Christmas trees make it so you can bend the branches of your fake tree, so it will be able to hold any type of ornament you put on. Needles will not get into your furniture, saving tons of time trying to clean or move your furniture.
- Fake Christmas tree cons:
An unfortunate con of fake Christmas trees are that you will not get the natural pine smell from the tree. When you eventually must replace the Christmas tree, it’s going to cost a lot more than a normal Christmas tree. It can also be a pain to set up a fake Christmas tree, and you are unable to remove the needles and branches.
