Many people had dreams as a kid to catch a leprechaun and to find their pot of gold. Now, many people no longer search for leprechauns because they say it’s “childish,” but not me. I am still trying to catch leprechauns, and I have not fallen for the leprechauns’ mind tricks. Even though I have never seen (or caught) a leprechaun, I learned the best trap that nearly worked (in the past). Here’s what to do.
Supplies:
- A large cardboard box
- A stick (make sure it’s able to hold the box up)
- A long string
- An inconspicuous bush
- A gold bar (has to be real)
- Scissors
Set up:
- Grab the box and cut the flaps with a pair of scissors.
- Next, grab the stick and put it long ways up.
- Tie one end of the string to the stick. It should be close to the base of it.
- Get one of the ends of the box, preferably the short end, and put it on top of the stick.
- Take the bush, string, and yourself, and step about 10 feet away.
- Then, put the bush down and hide in it.
- Wait about 12 hours (make sure it’s still the 17th).
- When the leprechaun comes, wait until he gets into the box and quickly pull the string.
- If you did everything right, the box will fall on him, and he will be trapped and forced to give the information on where the gold is.
I failed around the eighth step. Instead of catching a leprechaun, I caught a duck, but I am confident that you guys will succeed. So never give up and keep on trying to catch them leprechauns!
